SPONSOR DEITY DRESS

Krishna manifests in His deity form so that we can serve Him in many different ways and thus purify ourselves to become eligible to go back to the spiritual world to serve Him. One of the services rendered to the deity is offering new dresses. New elaborate dresses are offered to the Lord on most important festivals, including Janmastami. Each outfit is painstakingly stitched with devotion by devotees who have a family tradition of doing this. During festivals the temple is decorated with great fanfare and the new outfit looks even marvelous.
