On Dusshera, devotees remember how Lord Rama killed in battle the evil King Ravana. actors dressed as Lord Rama shoots His arrow, a firework, which penetrates the heart of Ravana’s effigy, and soon the fire is blazing and Ravana’s body is left to burn. As Ravana burns, devotees remember to burn up the impurities, attachments and selfishness in their own hearts.
