Please accept my best wishes. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
A few days ago, I opened my front door and saw a surprise. Apparently, the peacocks here thought we were worthy parents and left two eggs! They did not return–so we took the eggs inside. Thankfully, we live in the countryside, so heating lamps and incubators are not hard to find–two days in and we have the eggs safely incubated. At first I felt some frustration at the impending extra service, but then remembered verse 34 from Chapter Four of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is: “And when you have thus learned the truth, you will know that all living beings are but part of Me—and that they are in Me, and are Mine.” I felt immense gratitude to Srila Prabhupada, who carefully translated and commented on this holy book, and remembered his quality of care for all living entities, including the trees and plants. We look forward to seeing what will happen with these jivas in our care.
We had a most wonderful 50-hour kirtan–instead of a 24-hour kirtan that we usually have. More than 800 devotees participated! Please find live recordings of the kirtan here.
I would like to invite you to attend our Ratha Yatra on Saturday, July 14, from 2pm until 8 pm in Wheeling, WV which is about 30 min drive from New Vrindaban. Find more details on this festival’s FB page here.
Also, have you booked your spot at the New Adventures Kids Camp? You may register here. Remember you have to book your accommodation separately from the camp.
Please read a new post called “Fathers” on our Reflections blog here.
I wish you well and look forward to seeing you in New Vrindaban, where you can receive the blessings of Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Chandra.
