If you are planning a trip to the scenic New Vrindaban, here are some of the sites and services we suggested you take advantage of.
Every morning at 5:45 am, we provide a mantra meditation class directly after the Mangal Arati program (click here for schedule). Mantra meditation will help you develop peace of mind, calmness, and clarity.
Please join us at 7:00 am for our Go puja services, offered in the cow barn, adjacent the main temple. Established in 1967, we are home to the Longest Running Cow Protection Program in the Western World. Come feed our cows and of course, you can also milk the cows!
Starting at 10:00 am every day, a beautiful guided tour (parikram) of Govardhan hill is provided with a detailed history and musical accompaniment (kirtan).
Visit the world famous Palace of Gold. From beautiful stained glass, exquisite marble work and intricate handmade chandeliers, to masterful paintings, ornate furniture and 8,000 square feet of 22 carat gold leaf. Life Magazine praises it as “a place where tourists can come and be amazed”. Guided tours begin every half hour and last 30 minutes and are wheel chair compatible.
Adjacent to the Palace, browse our Award Winning Rose Garden with over 3000 rose bushes available in 150 varieties. The roses take bloom in the spring and summer seasons. Nearby, you will also notice a lake full with exotic lotus flowers in full bloom during June-August.
While here, you can walk into the wilderness of the Appalachian Mountains or travel the trails surrounding ponds, hike up the grand hills and have a picnic on one of the benches. Appreciate this picturesque scene of this hidden gem and marvel at the brilliant fireworks display every Saturday, (June-September) from 9-9:30 pm.
For children, we have a newly built playground, a fully stocked playroom, and offer kids programs as well as a bouncy house every weekend.
